A high school in Pomona was on lockdown this morning after two separate threats of gun violence were called in, reports the LA Times. The paper adds that a SWAT team was called in to respond to the threats this morning.

Police are looking into the car-to-car shooting of a man in his 40s in Whittier that happened early this morning, reports KTLA. The victim was found at about 6:00 a.m. after an accident was called in near Workman Mill Road and Beverly Boulevard.
