South Pasadena High School Receives Threat of Gun Violence

Officials have amped up security at South Pasadena High School after a student allegedly reported that there would be gun violence happening there today, according to City News Service. Police received the tip yesterday, and said that they worked overnight to investigate the information. They determined that the tip didn't hold water.
"The police department has investigated the threat overnight and at this point in the investigation, we lack any specific information that would suggest the threat is credible," police told the news site.
Still, authorities upped the number of officers on campus today, and are working with school administration to make sure kids are safe before they head home for Christmas break.
