People love to line up for shit. Don't ask us why, because we don't know. But the latest item that the masses stood single-file for is the new Nike Air Jordans, which came out today, and KTLA reports the sneakers generated waits that began on Wednesday:

Dozens of people set up chairs outside The Lab in Costa Mesa Thursday night, where the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” sneakers were set to go on sale at Blends shoe store at 11:30 a.m.

The news site notes that in other parts of the country, people were waiting so that they didn't have to wait. In Alabama, a line formed to get wristbands to buy the sneakers later. In Georgia, fights broke out for tickets to purchase the footwear.

These attempts to have the most stylish rubber soles around will cost line-waiters $185 each.
