Flights Delayed Out of LAX Due to Midwest Storm

It goes without saying that LAX is a hellhole today. The day before Christmas weekend, the airport is no doubt teeming with screaming babies, long lines and horrible people who don't ever realize when a kiosk has opened up and it's their turn to go.
But to make matters worse, news is now coming down the pike that flights are delayed because of a storm in the Midwest. The LA Times reports:
LAX officials said that some flights to New York's John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia airports, in particular, had been pushed back...
The storm in question left the Midwest with a foot of snow. In addition to the delays, the paper reports that more than 1,000 flights were cancelled today.
