      What to expect: Highs will continue to be in the mid 80s, but there's a chance of thunderstorms and showers in SoCal.

      Where could we see thunderstorms? The National Weather Service says there's a greater chance of showers and thunderstorms over the eastern San Gabriel Mountains, as well as the Riverside and San Bernardino County mountains.

      Heads up SoCal! Some monsoon moisture is heading our way, bringing a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms today into Friday.

      The National Weather Service says there's 20% to 30% chance of those conditions mainly over the mountains — those include the eastern San Gabriel Mountains, as well as Riverside and San Bernardino County mountains.

      Meanwhile, temperatures will remain fairly similar to yesterday.

      That means highs of up to 73 degrees at L.A. County beaches and 86 degrees for the valleys. The western San Fernando Valley will see slightly warmer conditions, with highs up to 90 degrees.

      In Orange County, expect highs of up to 77 degrees along the coast and 82 degrees for the inland areas.

      For the Inland Empire, expect highs from 84 to 92 degrees. And in Coachella Valley, temperatures will reach up to 102 degrees.
