If you’ve lost a pet in the wildfires or were forced to evacuate without them, local animal organizations are here to help.

Pasadena Humane is the designated small animal evacuation center for the Eaton Fire and L.A. Animal Services is coordinating efforts with CalFire.

But there are also several other organizations that are working to rescue animals that are injured, sick, trapped, or otherwise need assistance.

Here’s what they’re doing and how to get in contact with them...

Pasadena Humane

Pasadena Humane is on the ground looking for animals affected by the Eaton Fire.

It’s prioritizing reports of live animals that are in urgent need of medical attention and those that were left behind. Staff members are logging every report from owners and sending out search and rescue teams as quickly as possible in areas that are safe to access.

It’s also set up feeding stations and humane traps for community cats in the fire zone.

“This is an operation of unprecedented scale and complexity, and we are doing everything in our power to meet the immense challenges of the situation,” Pasadena Humane wrote in an update.
