It's unclear what caused the latest issue.
Previously: Chase Bank’s website's down. Again.
They tweeted at 10:36 a.m. that the site was experiencing issues, and users have been registering their difficulties with the site.
*ALERT* Chase Online is experiencing intermittent issues. We suggest using the Mobile app while we work to get things up to full speed.

This follows a denial-of-service attack that an Islamist hacking organization took credit for several weeks ago, though sources indicate they don’t believe the site going down Monday to be due to a hacking problem, but to a technical issue they're investigating. The most recent post by the Islamist hacking group on the site where they posted previous demands was March 26, and they still listed Chase as a target.
In a statement, Chase said that the problems were due to technical issues and added "We are very sorry to our customers for the inconvenience," while reiterating the recommendation to use the mobile app while the problems with the site are fixed.
The reason cited by Islamist hackers as the reason for attacking major banks: The “Innocence of Muslims” video on YouTube, which depicts the Islamic prophet Muhammad as a murderer and a pedophile. They demand either the removal of that video from the Internet or a payment based on a complex formula.
