Recipe In Honor of National Mojito Day
Who wouldn't love a refreshing muddled mint cocktail on a muggy day like today? The folks over at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill have kindly shared their recipe for the East Meets West Mojito in honor of today's food holiday, National Mojito Day.
Located in Studio City and El Segundo, Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill puts together a tasty combination of the traditional mojito by using bourbon instead of rum, and adding some passionfruit iced tea. Customers who come in for the happy hour from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. get $2 off the cocktail. But you can also make it on your own. Here's how it's done:
East Meets West Mojito
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. Makers Mark Bourbon
½ oz. Lemon juice
½ oz. Lime juice
½ oz. Agave nectar
2 ½ oz. Passionfruit iced tea
½ oz. Orange Curacao
6-7 Mint leaves
Method:
1. Fill shaker half way with ice.
2. Add all ingredients and shake vigorously.
3. Pour over tall glass of ice and garnish with Orange slice and Mint
sprig.
