Being single and working in the food world is tough. Much as we try not to judge our dates' sub-par restaurant choices or their new caveman diets, it's darn close to impossible. This is what we do for a living, after all.

So when word came of a new, food-based dating site launched by L.A.-based Jeff Nimoy called, we were thrilled to give it a test run. The site matches people by their various food preferences (vegan, vegetarian, caveman diet, and gluten free diets are just some of the options available), and sets them up on dates.

Our excitement was met with a dollop of disappointment when the search returns for "I'll try anything," and a few other specs turned up zero results, but we were assured by Nimoy that the site is still in beta, and that the user base is still quite small. (We are still convinced we are going to be single forever.)

So while we cry into our bowl of organic quinoa oatmeal, feel free to enjoy this video from ABC explaining how the free dating site works.
