Last summer, L.A.'s top bartenders gathered at Sadie for the first Art Beyond the Glass, where they showcased their talent behind the stick as well as in front of the canvas. It was one of the wildest industry events we've attended to date, with a dirty dance party, live street art performances, and all sorts of wacky entertainment.

This Sunday, June 30, the event returns to feature cocktails, art and music entirely created and performed by local bartenders. Co-creators Zahra Bates (Cole’s Red Car Bar Senior Bartender) and Daniel Djang (Founder and Editor of Thirsty in LA) have moved ABTG II will take place from to the historic Los Angeles Athletic Club in downtown L.A., with proceeds going to Art Share LA, a nonprofit located in the area.

Bartenders will be showing off their creative side through painting, photography, illustration, music and more. Among those participating are Julian Cox (Soigné Group); bartender/artist Brian Butler (Sunny Spot); bartender/artist Justin Pike (The Tasting Kitchen); singer Laura Lindsay (Connie & Ted’s); and DJs Dave Fernie (Pour Vous) and Steve Livigni (Old Lightning). First time participants include Beau DuBois (The Corner Door); artist Brittini Rae Peterson (Goldie’s); DJ Dino Balocchi (Littlefork); bartender/DJ Paul Sanguinetti (Patina Group); and furniture designer Philip Renderer (Seven Grand). Neat owner Aidan Demarest (Tello Demarest Liquid Assets) will be the emcee of the event.

The all-inclusive tickets include cocktails, spirit tastings, bar bites and live entertainment. The event will go from 3:30-7:30 p.m. You can purchase your $50 tickets here. Validated onsite parking at the LAAC will be available for $4.50 per car. (Originally the organizers had partnered with Uber for discounts, but that might be up in the air in light of today's cease and desist.)
