Win an Emcee

I know we all spend way too much time raiding MySpace (come on, we all see those crazy drunken profile pictures of virtually everyone we’ve ever met), but my endless journey through procrastination has not gone in vain. The PLUGG CITY TOUR is enough for me to admit to my (more than) sporadic scavengers around the MySpace realm.

Imagine this: you send a message to the rapper Rhymefest via MySpace with a subject line of PLUGG CITY TOUR and include your contact information, and then you get a chance to spend three days with Rhymefest. Best of all, the entire experience is captured on video.

Okay, so although Rhymefest did not fit the fancy of some during his September performance with A Tribe Called Quest, you sort of want to enter just to see if he is kidding. The only rules are that you have a job that will allow Rhymefest to accompany you to work and that you are 18 or over. The winner will get a chance to have Rhymefest live with him or her for three days, and will be filmed as Rhymefest "lives" your life and you "live" his. So pull out your inflatable mattress, get ready to hit the studio, and win an emcee for three days.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive from readers like you will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
