Video: Smug Santa Monicans Enjoying The Beach In January Get Snowballed

Before you

As the rest of the country descends into frigid chaos as the "polar vortex" envelops much of the continent, we have been enjoying some relatively nice weather (it hasn't been WARM warm, but it's still great for winter). Because of this, some of us do have a tendency to brag a little bit about how nice the weather has been.

Enter Jimmy Kimmel, who went to Santa Monica and approached beach goers to send a smug message to their relatives back east. What they didn't know was that Kimmel's Uncle Sal had a frozen surprise ready for them.

It seems like sweet revenge, but one commenter on Gawker pointed out that it was unfair for them to enjoy the magic of a snowball fight without the bitter cold that goes with it. So, I guess we win again.

(Also, the video seems suspiciously scripted to us. Who refers to the area as "cali"? Pale midwesterners, that's who.)
