Before you read more...
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

Angelenos don't need an excuse to dress up, but today's the day we really go all out. We asked you for your Halloween best and you delivered with costumes inspired by the boiled bunny in "Fatal Attraction," the naked people in a Discovery Channel TV show we hadn't heard of until now and a flashback to the 90s Nickelodeon glory that was "Doug." Some of you overachievers even managed to put together two excellent costumes.

We'll be putting together another gallery of costumes tomorrow, so if you have a great get-up to share, email us at tips@laist.com with the subject line, "Halloween Costume." (And do tell us your inspiration just in case we don't recognize the reference.) No blackface please.
