Today, three members of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot were sentenced to two years each in jail for storming Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral back in February in protest of Russian President Vladimir Putin's close ties to the church.

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 22, Marina Alyokhina, 24, and Yekaterina Samutsevich, 30, have garnered support around the world for their actions (and probably also from people who just want an excuse to say "pussy riot"), but no one loves a political spectacle with a sexy name more than Hollywood celebrities. In the weeks leading up to the group's sentencing, and in the hours after, a number of singers, actors and other famous folk jumped on Twitter to voice their support for the women. Here are some of their reactions.
