A small brush fire broke out in Elysian Park near Dodger Stadium on Friday afternoon at around 2 p.m. No structures are currently threatened.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Amy Bastman told LAist that the department first received word of the fire at 2:05 p.m. and that firefighters responded to the scene shortly thereafter. "We are still continuing the air and ground response for the fire," Bastman said. According to an alert issued by the department at 2:18 p.m., about a quarter of an acre of grass in steep terrain was affected. Any updated information on the acreage of the fire is not yet available.

Update [3:10 p.m.]: The fire is now five acres in size, according to an LAFD statement.
