South Pasadena Police Involved In Fatal Burbank Shooting

South Pasadena Police officers were involved in a fatal shooting Thursday morning in Burbank, according to City News Service. The incident occurred near the intersection of Amherst Drive and Broadway at about 8:30 a.m.

KTLA reports that the South Pasadena police were at a home in the 1400 block of Broadway to make an arrest when the incident occurred. "We were doing a followup in a case in Burbank and got involved in a shooting," Sergeant Louie of the South Pasadena Police Department told LAist.

Authorities did not yet have any information on the age or gender of the individual who was shot, or the circumstances that led to the shooting.

The L.A. Times reports that detectives are currently investigating the incident.
