Police found a body in a burned car in the city of Cerritos this morning.

KNBC reports that the car was found at 7:30 a.m. on the 7800 block of Denni Street of Cerritos. The person in the car was declared dead at the scene and has not yet been identified.

The grisly discovery comes a little more than a month after three men were found dead in a burning car in the nearby city of Orange, apparently shot to death before the vehicle was torched. Days later, another man was found dead in a car in Fontana in an apparently related murder.

There's no word yet on whether the death in Cerritos is thought to be connected.
