  • Good news, gentlemen! PETA is an equal opportunity employer -- you, too, can promote animal rights using only your physical attributes. In a statement released today, the organization famous for enlisting the help of nekkid ladies to draw attention to its protests announced that it had narrowed down the finalists of its "Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door" competition to twenty people -- ten male, and ten female. Two of the men are Angelenos: Ryan Husk, and Nik Talyor.
  • Another day, another teacher accused of having sex with one of their students. In a statement, LAPD announced that Van Nuys area detectives arrested 29-year-old Gazi Kabir, a history teacher at Van Nuys’ Montclair College Preparatory School, last Thursday after he was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl. Kabir allegedly went to the girl's house "for sexual activity," according to the statement, when she was home alone.
  • Councilman Paul Koretz is undertaking a mission to ban stores and individuals from selling puppies born at puppy mills, reports ABC 7. The push starts slowly -- Koretz has introduced a bill that would study the possibility of banning sales of the animals, many of which are bought and sold through pet stores. The councilmember hopes that by banning animals purchased at mills, more shelter animals could make their way to the stores and find homes.
  • Sometimes, you run across stories about people who take the most innocent of scenarios and turn them into the worst. This is one of those times. Two different San Bernardino Sheriff's Deputies are being charged with having sex with underage individuals during ride-alongs, according to KTLA. The ride-alongs were arranged through an Explorer Scouts program, which is a scouting program for young people ages 14-20, focused on helping them down a particular career path.

  • Recently, a porn video surfaced showing two LADOT officers engaging in sexual acts with a porn actress while on the job. The officers haven't been disciplined, with parking enforcement chief Jimmy Price claiming that he wasn't able to identify them until recently. But some in the department claim that the participant's identities and participation in the video were common knowledge, and that they weren't disciplined because the department hoped to sweep the incident under the rug.
