29-Year-Old Teacher Arrested For Sex With Teen Student

Another day, another teacher accused of having sex with one of their students. In a statement, LAPD announced that Van Nuys area detectives arrested 29-year-old Gazi Kabir, a history teacher at Van Nuys’ Montclair College Preparatory School, last Thursday after he was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl. Kabir allegedly went to the girl's house "for sexual activity," according to the statement, when she was home alone.
It may not be Kabir's first offense; ABC 7 reports that a crime report for child annoyance was filed against him in 2007, and that his teaching certificate was suspended for 14 days by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, due to moral or unprofessional misconduct.
ABC 7 also notes that Kabir's relationship, such as it was, with the student lasted for about two months.
Anyone with info about other students targeted by Kabir are encouraged to call LAPD at (818) 374-0040.
