Taco Bell brought us the ingenious Fourth Meal, but now the fast food company is testing out a bold new idea for First Meal: a waffle taco. The waffle takes the place of a tortilla or, say, a Cool Ranch Dorito shell, and it's filled with a sausage and scrambled eggs. A packet of syrup comes with the otherwise savory taco.

A report has come out explaining how an employee of Bumble Bee Foods ended up getting cooked to death in an industrial oven last October. When the lifeless body of Jose Melena, 62, was found inside an oven at the Santa Fe Springs company—about 15 miles southeast of Los Angeles—last fall, workers and the CEO said something had to have gone horribly wrong for such a deadly accident to occur.

Disney withdrew its bid for the trademark "Dia De Los Muertos," which was supposed to be the name of an upcoming Pixar film but also happened to be the name of a sacred Mexican holiday. We're assuming all the muertos honored on November 1 and 2 were rolling over in their graves. But there was also a huge outcry among the living.

One of the largest hospitals in Orange County has decided to ban elective abortions, shortly after being purchased by a Catholic hospital group. Last week Hoag Memorial Hospital told its doctors about the decision. The hospital said that the decision was not imposed by new owners and that it was made completely independently of the fact that they are now owned by a Catholic group.
