An Orange County high school wrestling coach was put behind bars today for allegedly choke-holding a student until he became unconscious, and then proceeded to repeatedly punch him.

Emmanuel Hugo Hernandez, 26, is now at Orange County Jail and is being held for $100,000 bail, for suspicion of battery of a student on the wrestling team at Villa Park High School, reported CBS Los Angeles. The student was taken to a local hospital for his injuries, which included the area near his right ear.

"Hernandez ignored the victim's attempt to tell him to stop and ultimately rendered the student victim unconscious," said Lt. Jeff Hallock, according to OC Weekly.
