The son and daughter of Carmen Montenegro, the woman seen wheeling a trash can full of body parts around an Ontario neighborhood last weekend, were arrested and charged as accessories to murder on Wednesday night.

Daniel Ortiz, 25, and Chanel Alicia Ortiz, 26, both of Riverside, were in custody Thursday in the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on a $250,000 warrant, according to Ontario police. Their mother, 51-year-old Carmen Montenegro remained in custody on a $1 million bond pending a hearing Thursday on murder charges.

The two were arrested after a traffic stop Wednesday night. "We're still looking for all the potential witnesses in this case," said Erica Gallegos, deputy district attorney. "We don't have any evidence for motive."

Wiggins Jr. was last seen May 1.

Montenegro was arrested Monday after being seen pushing a trash can containing dismembered body parts. Investigators later found a head and arms in flower pots at the Ontario home where Montenegro was staying with relatives. The victim has been identified as 63-year-old Samuel Wiggins Jr. of Diamond Bar, a recent boyfriend of Montenegro's, according to L.A. Now.
