With the number of students walking out of classes yesterday, stopping freeway traffic and actually getting motivated to protest anything, it was a busy news day here in LA. We thought that exciting visuals of kids marching and scuffling with police would surely lead off the 11 PM news last night on ABC-7.

But we were wrong. Dead wrong. The broadcast's lead story was last night's drizzle -- also known as Storm Track in Channel 7 lingo. Our favorite weather guy Dallas Raines was there with his Doppler 7000+ at the ready. Now there's the LA news we love so much!

And if you haven't checked out this Crouching Dallas site yet, please do. It'll bring a little sushine into your own daily Doppler.
