LAPD Looking For Man Caught On Video Sucker Punching Woman In Venice
Police are looking for a man that was caught on video punching a woman in Venice over the weekend.
On Sunday around 7:30 p.m., a woman got into an argument with a man while waiting in line at the Windward Farms market in Venice Beach. Later, the two confronted each other again outside the store, and the man sucker punches her, knocking her to the ground. Several witnesses try to subdue the man, but he gets away, even throwing one passerby off his back. Both confrontations were caught on security camera at the market.
Both videos were originally posted to Venice 311.
The LAPD told CBS 2 that the two did not know each other, but had gotten into an argument earlier during the day at a local festival. Police have been able to identify the man, and when caught he'll be booked for battery reports the L.A. Times. The man's identity has not been released.
