Here are the early nominees for parents of the year. A video shows two parents verbally encouraging their teenage daughter as she physically fights another girl in front of their house.

A teen girl named Stephanie confronted a former friend named Jalen at her home in Corona Sunday morning, KCAL9 reported. The two had been arguing over social media, which exploded into a fight, caught on a cellphone video.

Rather than break up the fight, Jalen’s parents can be heard on video encouraging it.

“Whup her,” Jalen’s mother says.

“Don’t I ever catch you in my ******* yard,” Jalen’s father yells.

Furthermore, Stephanie’s mother alleges Jalen’s mother hit Stephanie with her knee, though neighbors deny those charges. Jalen’s mother was arrested for battery but has posted bail. Charges also are pending against Jalen’s father.

Neighbors said Stephanie and two friends banged on Jalen’s door and were looking to fight. Stephanie’s mother has said she doesn’t condone her daughter’s actions but thinks the parents should have stepped in.
