Today is National Get Your Momma a Gift & Mail It Day

We know you love your momma. She knows you love her. But today the post office needs to know.
Mother's Day is on Sunday and even if you're lucky and you mom lives in Cali, you really should go to the post office today, slackers, and get your shit in order.
Go over to the record store, go to the Target, go to the jewelry store, but then immediately go to the post office and mail it.
Tomorrow at the latest.
Here's what we're getting our mom. Re-issues. Odds are your mom isn't down with the Decemberists or Arcade Fire. And if she is she's just being sweet - again. But she knows the words to the Motown hits, and those tunes bring back memories that Funeral doesn't.
Motown recently came out with several #1's reissues that contain all of her favorite hits from that era. The packaging is bright and colorful, and case itself is made of biodegradable PaperFoam which says something about the disposable nature of music today, but it's green, it's a start.
Or if she's into more of a rock-thing, The Doors re-released their entire catalogue late last year with better liner notes and rare outtakes. An especially fitting gift if your mom is an LA woman.
Or you can go to Vons and get her a gift card, shove it in an envelope and mail it. But whatever you do, do it. Lord knows she did years of crap for your sorry ass.
Give till it hurts.
