Suspects Sought In Fatal Echo Park Shooting [UPDATE]
Following Monday night's fatal Echo Park shooting of a teenager at the intersection of North Benton Way and West Temple Street, police are seeking either two or three male suspects, reports Echo Park Patch. The victim, who died at the scene, was reportedly on foot and was shot at approximately 7:25 p.m. in front of the former LAPD Rampart Division headquarters building.
The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, possibly a black Toyota Camry, according to police, who were investigating whether the shooting was related to a gang or a tagging crew. While Echo Park Patch was on the scene, reportedly, "a group of youths approached officers at the crime scene, asking if they could ID the victim and wondering if he was one of their friends."
UPDATE: The victim has been identified as a 13-year-old boy. More info here.
