Echo Park Shooting Victim Was 13 Years Old
The victim of a shooting in Echo Park last night was revealed today in an LAPD email to be a 13-year-old boy. Police say that the shooting was gang-related. The boy was reportedly approached by several men while he was standing on the corner of Temple Street and Benton Way. The men, who had exited a parked car, shot the boy multiple times, leaving him dead at the scene, then returned to their vehicle and fled. They are still at large.
