April Fools Day is almost here. LAist, for one, can't wait.

This year it seems like Angelenos are getting into the playful spirit of things and are ready to frolic, rain or no rain.

1. Equator Books seeks all fools to enjoy an opening reception for the "April Fools" exhibit, featuring the work of John Evans, Matthew Weidmann, Albert Reyes (aka Give), and Neil Wax's Abject Goods. 7-11 PM, Friday, April 1, 2005. EQUATOR BOOKS, 1103 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291

2. We're still looking for an appropriate bunny costume to attend the Bunny Hop on Saturday, April 2nd. Bunnies are asked to gather at noon, starting at Mr. T's Bowl, 5621 1/2 Figueroa St, Highland Park.

Could it be that LA has reignited the true spirit of the LA Cacophony Society.

We're sure those still mourning the deaths of Cacophonists Peter Geiberger and Daniel Lippert (who were involved in a fatal drunk driving accident after a Cacophony Society event on October 29, 2000), appreciate how responsible the Bunny Hop organizers are to encourage mass transport by telling all participants to bring $3 for a Metro rail pass.

Get yours early to avoid a bottleneck at the Metro station, and, remember, the bunny costume rule will be strictly enforced.
