Robber Who Stabbed Yum Yum Donuts Cashier Caught On Video
Authorities are on the hunt for a man who brutally attacked a Yum Yum Donuts worker in Torrance during a robbery.
Police released photos and surveillance video of the attack on Thursday in hopes that the public could help them find this man.
The assailant entered the doughnut shop on the afternoon of Nov. 27 and acted as a customer, according to NBC Los Angeles. In the video footage, the man is then seen grabbing the female clerk and dragging her over to him. He gets over the counter and starts stabbing her with what appears to be a screwdriver. Despite how compliant she is to his requests to open up the cash register, he keeps stabbing her repeatedly. He then takes her to the back room to open the safe, but she is unable to do so and he flees.
The victim, who was taken to a hospital after the attack, is still suffering from injuries.
The man is described as a 30 to 40 year-old black man, who is 6 feet tall and thin. At the time he was wearing an orange, short-sleeved, button-up shirt, khaki pants, dark blue baseball cap and white tennis shoes, according to Daily Breeze.
If anyone has any information about this man, contact Torrance police detectives at (310) 618-5688.
