Chris Dorner Sighting Leads to SWAT Shutdown of Valley Home Improvement Store

The Los Angeles Police Department have been urging anyone who thinks they have seen fugitive ex-cop and triple murder suspect Christopher Jordan Dorner to call authorities, and in some cases, the authorities respond, big time. Sunday night, a couple of calls about a possible Dorner sighting at a home improvement store in the valley led to a SWAT swarm and store shutdown. The calls came in Sunday evening from the Lowe's in Northridge, and at about 5 p.m. officers with the LAPD were on scene, according to L.A. Now.
Customers were escorted out of the store to facilitate officers searching the premises.
Dorner was not there.
The LAPD say the sighting was unconfirmed, and L.A. Now reports the sighting may have been connected to a couple who were seen fighting outside the store.
Similarly, in San Bernardino, police responded to a report of a Dorner sighting, and evacuated an apartment building there. After speaking with a female tenant, authorities determined the call had been a prank when friends of the tenant had called in the sighting after they had been involved in a fight with the woman. That woman says she has never met Christopher Dorner.
