Photos: Big Rig Busts Through 10 Freeway Center Divider At La Brea Avenue
A big rig crashed right through the center divider on the 10 Freeway early this morning in Mid-City. No one was badly hurt, but the crash did snarl traffic in both directions during the morning commute.
CHP told City News Service that the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. at La Brea Avenue. The truck was westbound when it crashed through the divider so that it was partially blocking traffic in both directions. The driver suffered minor injuries.
CHP told the Los Angeles Times that it was a large construction truck with a trailer carrying a Bobcat loader that crashed through the concrete barrier.
There were four lanes nearest to the divider shut down for hours while crews worked to clear the scene and investigate what caused the crash.
