Downtown's Olympic Theatre To Become H&M's COS Store
One of downtown's magnificent theaters is getting a new tenant.The Olympic Theatre, located at 313 W 8th Street, will be renovated and turned into an outlet of H&M's higher-end, modern brand, COS (or, Collection of Style). The news comes from Brigham Yen of Downtown Rising, who acted as the listing agent on the property owned by Titan Metropolis LLC.
The theatre was built in 1927. It consists of 9,835 square feet and three floors, including the mezzanine. Most of the features that once adorned the interior of the building are lost, but COS will be rehabbing the building and relighting the outdoor sign.
This follows in the same path as the nearby Rialto Theatre on Broadway, which was turned into an Urban Outfitters in 2013.
