The infant was found unattended in a stroller near the corner of Vermont Avenue and Dana Street. Police received a report of child abuse Tuesday afternoon and were called to the scene in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood, just north of USC, according to KTLA.

The newborn is reportedly in stable condition after being hospitalized around 1 p.m.
