The Comedy Store was hosting a "Roast Battle" on Tuesday night before the shooting took place. The L.A Times reports that the shooting is the first homicide in West Hollywood in the last 12 months.

Sunset Boulevard between La Cienega Boulevard and Kings Road is closed this morning as sheriff's deputies continued their investigation at the scene of the club.

Anyone with information about the shooting is being asked to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at (323) 890-5500.
