Man Barricades Himself Inside A South Pasadena House, Gets Shot By Police
A man who barricaded himself in a South Pasadena residence early Sunday morning was shot and wounded during the standoff, authorities say.
KTLA reports that around 4:25 a.m., a woman was heard screaming and asking for help in the 1300 block of Huntington Drive. South Pasadena Police Department and the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene, where they found a man downstairs, and an officer-involved shooting occurred.
According to City News Service, the man then fled from the officers and barricaded himself in a room inside the two-story residence. At around 5:30 a.m., a SWAT team was called in, and several unspecified hours later, the man surrendered, according to Deputy Kimberly Alexander of the Sheriff's Department.
