Man Allegedly Poses as Talent Scout to Rob, Assault Women
A man who posed as a talent scout in order to lure women via the internet is being sought by police today, reports City News Service.
Anthony Augustus Jefferson, 45, of Bakersfield reportedly told his victims -- whose ages ranged from 20 - 53 -- that he could get them jobs in the movie industry. Upon meeting them, he's accused of getting them to divulge their financial information, including credit card numbers, and promising to reimburse them for things like motel rooms.
Jefferson is also accused of sexual battery by false pretenses and indecent exposure.
