Long Lines For Early Voting in Norwalk*

The Los Angeles County Clerk's Office in Norwalk is the only place to vote between now and Tuesday, Nov. 4. If you want to vote early, it's advised that you arrive early, give yourself at least an hour, and be prepared to wait.

But with early voting at record levels nationwide, LA is feeling the crunch as well. One LAist reader reported that the "[l]ine is whole width of parking lot then doubles back half the building width...."

We were ushered out of the parking lot line into this tent w chairs to wait [photo below]. Now 2 hours after our arrival the first group of 20 people were taken inside. I'll let you know when we are done.... The second row just got called - everyone is cheering again!

Early voting is available until 5 p.m. today, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday. The office is located at 12400 Imperial Highway in Norwalk (Google Map).
