The LA Times yesterday referenced LAist in a piece about how local blogs are covering local politics (login may be required). We can't quite tell if Brendan Buhler is mocking us (and all the other bloggers mentioned) or not but we did appreciate their descriptive line for us:

A snarky local outpost of a chain-blog with sister sites in London and New York.

We love when you call us snarky.Mayor Sam thinks the Times expects us to be more serious in our coverage.

What do you think? Is it LAist's job to cover local politics with our sharp-witted (hopefully) tongues in check?

We'll sit over here obsessing over being in the paper and wondering when newspapers will get it together and make website references clickable in their online articles.
