One person is in custody in connection with a hit-and-run accident that left an Uber driver dead.

The crash happened early Saturday morning at the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard in Leimert Park.

The ride-share driver has not been identified by authorities but her family has told multiple media outlets — including KPCC media partner NBC4 — that she is Folesha Parker-Iverson.

Her daughter Chales Parker told NBC4 her mom worked at a Fontana High School and drove for Uber to make extra money for her and her sister.
