Pasadena voters head to the polls to choose first new mayor in 16 years

Pasadena voters are at the polls Tuesday to select the city's first new mayor in 16 years, the Pasadena Star-News reports. They're also voting for a new City Council member and three new Pasadena Unified School Board members.
It's a primary, but if any candidate gets more than 50 percent of the vote, they'll avoid an April 21 run-off. This comes after Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard announced he wouldn't seek re-election after four terms in office.
The six mayoral candidates include real-estate broker Allen Shay, USC professor Don Morgan, City Councilman Terry Tornek, Pasadena City College Trustee Bill Thomson, City Councilwoman Jacque Robinson and publisher of the DENA magazine Jason Hardin, according to the Star-News.
