Kings Defeat Canes in OT, 4-3
Michal Handzus stickhandled around a prone Carolina defender before snapping home the game-winning goal in overtime at Staples Center on Friday night to beat the Hurricanes 4-3. Handzus started the scoring with a goal in the opening minute of the game, but the 'Canes responded with three straight in the second period to put LA at a 3-1 deficit. Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar evened the score with their first respective goals of the season, leaving the door open for Handzus to do his overtime magic.
The Kings will face the Colorado Avalanche at Staples Center on Monday night.
