A suspect learned the hard way about what could happen to you when you carjack someone, when his alleged victim drove him directly to the police station. The suspect stopped his victim at a street corner in North Hollywood with threats of using his gun if he didn't keep driving, according to CBS Los Angeles. The man drove over to the North Hollywood police station and waved down cops. The alleged kidnapper fled once he realized what had happened, but was caught just a few blocks away.

“Anytime you have anyone jump into your car, and simulate some sort of weapon, and tell you to drive, it’s probably a little nerve-racking, but he was able to maintain his composure and knew where to go to get immediate help … and he did so,” Los Angeles police Lt. Mike Rimkunas told CBS Los Angeles.

The police scoured the neighborhood for any possible weapons the suspect had, but were unable to find anything.
