As police attempt to defuse apparent explosives at his apartment, Colorado massacre suspect James Holmes is reportedly being held in solitary confinement. According to the NY Daily News, a recently released inmate said, "All the inmates were talking about killing him. Everyone was looking for an opportunity. It’s all they could talk about."

Another inmate at Arapahoe Detention Center says that Holmes "was spitting at the door and spitting at the guards. He's spitting at everything. Dude was acting crazy." And an ADC employee said, "Let’s just say he hasn’t shown any remorse. He thinks he’s acting in a movie."

Holmes, a San Diego native who had been in a neuroscience post-graduate program at the University of Colorado, was also supposedly placed on suicide watch as well. It's also been reported that Holmes, allegedly dressed in riot gear during the shootings and has dyed red hair, told the authorities that he was 'The Joker.' One inmate said that guards had blacked out Holmes' windows so others wouldn't be able to se him, and added if Holmes were in the general population, "he won’t live to see Monday’s court appearance."
