Thousands Protest Downtown For Impeachment March

Ahead of Independence Day, thousands of Angelenos have convened downtown to rally and march for the impeachment of President Donald Trump. The Los Angeles march is the local arm of the national Impeachment March, which comes from the organizers of the Tax March back in April. The march began at Pershing Square and will end at Fletcher Brown Square near City Hall. The March claims President Trump has violated the Constitutions' Foreign Emoluments Clause and Domestic Emoluments Clause, and considers his handling of the F.B.I. Russia investigation as obstruction of justice, all of which the March considers as grounds for impeachment.
A counter-protest was scheduled for this morning outside LAPD Headquarters downtown.

The March itself has attracted thousands downtown so far. Rep. Brad Sherman (D - Sherman Oaks) will speak at the impeachment rally this afternoon, according to the L.A. Times.
