Our Old Friend the Glendale Bear is Back

Just like the prodigal son, Glen Bearian has returned. The meatball-loving, orange-picking furry fellow who roamed the streets of La Crescenta and Glendale for weeks back in March, scaring people while they texted and raiding other folks' refrigerators, was spotted by a resident once again on Thursday.
He must just really like the neighborhood, and honestly, who can blame him? It's really peaceful there.
Anyway, this time the bear, who has alternately been dubbed "Glen Bearian" by a Twitter account and "Meatball" by the Fish and Game officers who tranquilized him and escorted him back to the woods, was recognizable by the tag that officials put on his ear. That he's come back to the spot he once frequented, they said, isn't surprising.
"This is actual pretty typical bear behavior," Andrew Hughan, spokesman for the state Fish and Game Department, told KTLA. "They can move several hundred miles if they have to back to their original locations."
This whole situation might be less cute if Glen Bearian were the vicious type, but so far he has been utterly peaceful, preferring, it seems, to wander around foraging than interact with humans in any capacity.
