This year, Angeleno Magazine's national Food and Travel Editor, Brad A. Johnson, used Twitter to post his picks for the publication's 8th annual Restaurant Awards. The suspense built up 140 characters at a time, but next Sunday the teasing and the excitement will pay off for the honorees and their fans at Chef's Night Out, the food and wine event that celebrates Angeleno's awardees.Drawing top honors were a number of the city's most lauded chefs, pastry chefs, and restaurants, including Restaurant of the Year Hatfield's [LAist Story], Chef of the Year Michael Cimarusti of Providence, runner-up Chef of the Year Ludovic Lefebvre of LudoBites [LAist Story], Best New Chef Michael Voltaggio formerly of The Dining Room at The Langham [LAist Story] and many more.

Join Cimarusti, the Hatfields, Lefebvre, Voltaggio and others for a night of food and drink at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica where there will be lots to eat and imbibe, as well as live demos. Tickets are $95 (General admission) and $150 (VIP) and can be purchased online. Proceeds from the event go to the LA's Best after-school enrichment program (so, hooray, that ticket price is tax-deductible).
