Late-Night Snack: Apple Sauce

We're in the middle of apple season and all of the sudden, our late night snacking became healthy. What has come of us?
The craving first hit when at Ralph's, so we picked up some store brand without realizing it contained high fructose corn syrup. Blech. A later discovery found that Whole Foods' organic individual packs are been much nicer and tastier, especially with their hybrid flavors with berries, peaches and bananas. But the best so far has been Santa Cruz Organic's recipe (they're usually known for their juice).
If you're looking to make your own, check out these orchards for your own pickings and plan ahead for Thanksgiving weekend as the Apple Butter Festival out in the 909 marks the end of the fruit's season
