Blogger Neighborhood Guides: Aarti Sequeira's 'Taste in Translation' Tour of Culver City
Food TV personality and blogger Aarti Sequeira might have been born in Dubai, but she considers herself an L.A. girl. She's lived in her nook of Culver City for the past nine years with her husband, Brendan McNamara, and actually wrote for LAist back in the day. Eventually she became a champ on "The Next Food Network Star," and has spun quite the career for herself. Her new show "Taste in Translation" premieres on the Cooking Channel tonight at 9 p.m., and uncovers the most popular -- and sometimes unlikely -- dishes that play a role in different cultures.
She took some time out of her busy schedule to sit down and chat with us about some of her favorite eats in the Culver and Mid-City areas. Here they are.
