Netflix's resident film critic and relatively recent blogger is in town for the Independent Spirit Awards and likens Santa Monica to an alien world:

I'm in Santa Monica for the Independent Spirit Awards, and I gotta tell you -- SoCal scares me. I mean, it all looks so reasonable and pleaseant: There's the beach! A nice cafe! Ooh, a movie star! And then you see, say, a Segway dealership, and all the cars are crazy and the boutiques are nuts and you know - know -- you're not on Earth anymore.

While James Rocchi hasn't asked to be taken to our leader yet, he does have questions for we alien life forms.
